A training sets new standards

Extrusion engineering is an area of competence which experts are generally hard to find. The two-year training program at Greiner Extrusion sets new standards for in-house technicians’ training. The customers expect technicians at the highest level to be able to solve problems. Therefore – 12 years ago - Greiner Extrusion established the first technician school to train its staff to become experts in the field of profile extrusion.

Training Content
In the 2-year training program, Greiner’s top engineers get the technicians of the future acquainted with extrusion and process engineering, step by step. In addition to in-house training in extrusion theory, the technicians have hands on practice operating extruders, tooling science, basics of design and machine operating. The program also encompasses external training courses for personality development, conflict management and self-organisation. Assignments abroad complement the skills and knowledge conveyed. To date, 42 technicians have successfully completed this training program and are now utilizing their skills to the benefit of our customers and partners.
