Option: Greiner Energy Saving System

Extruder motors and vacuum pumps on calibration tables use the lion’s share of energy on an extrusion line. This is why Greiner Extrusion has developed the Greiner Energy Saving System (GESS).

The Greiner Energy Saving System is applied on the calibration table. The vacuum pumps for calibration are linked together. Depending on real needs the separate vacuum pumps can be switched on or off automatically. Frequency converter regulated channel compressors are used for the tank suction. The new system slashes energy consumption by up to 80 percent and more depending on the profile type.

The benefits at a glance:

  • significant energy savings:  Savings of up to 80 percent and more for new and already operational machines – including those from other manufacturers.

  • low production noise levels: Regulation to requirement for the vacuum pumps used means these can now be operated at significantly lower speeds and the requirement for the noise intensive secondary air supply is eliminated. This significantly cuts the noise level for the entire extrusion line.

  • fast profile start-up: The use of several pumps and the side channel compressor additionally creates a very high volume flow. The interplay of this with the automatic vacuum regulation brings a fastest possible and cost-optimized start-up process.

  • simple and low cost spare parts acquisition through use of tried-and-tested standard components
